The cultural event «BACK TO ORIGINS» held last Friday, February 16th, at the Auditorium of Vall d’Uixó, at 7:00 PM, located in the Leopoldo Peñarroja Cultural Building, was a resounding success, captivating an audience eager to explore the fascinating intersection between contemporary creativity and the rich cultural heritage of ancient Egypt.

The event, which featured impressive participation from experts and enthusiasts, began with an exciting roundtable where distinguished guests, experts in the field of Egyptology such as Professor Dr. Renata-Gabriela Tatomir from Hyperion University in Bucharest, Romania, and Dr. Mónica M. Marcos from Complutense University of Madrid. They engaged in profound dialogues on various aspects of ancient Egyptian civilization. Attendees were immersed in discussions on the ongoing importance of Egyptian civilization in the modern world, the interpretation of hieroglyphics, and the prominent role of women in ancient Egyptian society.

The event also featured virtual participation from experts and enthusiasts via streaming, with approximately 20 people connected from Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, and Egypt through the hybrid conference. Professor Egyptologist Joanna Popielska Grzybowska, a prominent representative from Poland, delivered a live presentation on pyramid texts, enriching participants’ experience with her deep knowledge and unique perspective.
After a break, the second part of the event delighted the audience with a moving music concert performed by the orchestra of students from the Francesc Peñarroja Professional Music Conservatory of Vall d’Uixó, conducted by the distinguished Orchestra Professor, Salvador Sebastia López. The selection of classical European music pieces inspired by Egypt enchanted the audience, transporting them through a unique auditory experience.

The climax of the night came with the third part of the event, which showcased a dazzling fashion show. Fashion designers, inspired by the attire of ancient Egyptians, presented their modern creations, captivating the audience with their ingenuity and unique style. Notable was the fashion capsule «Ilusión» designed by Noelia Olivares (LiavoDesign) and Sergio Popa (By.Feher) from Valencia.

In-person attendance was equally impressive, with around 100 people gathered in the hall, demonstrating a clear interest and enthusiasm for exploring topics related to ancient Egyptian civilization and its relevance in the contemporary world.
The day was an exciting blend of profound dialogues, captivating music, and innovative fashion, offering attendees a culturally enriching and unique experience. From discussions on the ongoing importance of Egyptian civilization to the interpretation of hieroglyphics and the presentation of modern fashion creations inspired by ancient Egypt, «BACK TO ORIGINS» achieved its goal of combining history and creativity in a memorable event.
