This is one of the “Márgenes’” stories of strong women, who have the courage to go back to their origins, back to their roots. Reborn into purity.
The photo-reportage wants to highlight the unique character of the Egyptian civilization and, at the same time, the place, importance, roles and exceptionality of the Egyptian woman.
The tissues used for the clothes are genuine, linen brought directly from Egypt from a private cooperative that uses still old techniques of manufacturing.
All embroidery is made by hand by the designers.
In our reportage we also pay a tribute to the Egyptian symbols and Gods:
- RA, the absolut God, the Egyptian Sun, that symbolizes the life-giving energy
- ISIS, the goddess of motherhood, magic, fertility, and protection. One can see hanging on the back of one of the young model the Winged Sun Disk: the outstretched wings, that represents protection and divine power from Sky God. They belonged to, Isis.
The photo reportage signs for the eternal feminine beauty and modernism that did not change throughout the millennia. It aims to discover who we are and defining a sense of belonging and existence within the context of the 21st century by looking back in our very remote past. Showing that fashion and design do not know about ages, origins and time, but about attitudes.
REFLEXION’ capsule creates a visual “illusion” playing with the light of the sunset on women’s silhouettes. A project that gives a fresh perspective on beauty. To inspire, and to convey a powerful message about self-acceptance and the free expression of personality through clothing.
