Els Poblets

“Màrgenes” is actually a project produced by a succession of photographs and fashion films as well as micro-documentaries that define how the passage of time manifests itself in the human body.

We work on situations, that include different aspects of culture, history, geography, movements, individuality, and attitude.

The first location for photoshootings was selected in Spain, in Els-Poblets-Dénia, somewhere between Valencia and Alicante, two days before the end of 2020. The time itself was chosen to reflect another segment, extremity, the breach between two years. The locations were also chosen to represent different times (the sea standing for “eternity”; the source nymph somehow symbolizing Renaissance; the house representing nowadays).

We also made a shooting at an excavation site of old Roman amphora production – an everyday product in those days. This stands as symbol for the ancient world.

The two models have a very different age, 20 and 53 years, respectively. The two models must create contrasts (sooo different) and similarities (sooo alike), YIN and YANG, POSITIVE and NEGATIVE. The models must give the impression they are in permanent contact, using a symbolic language of gestures, they NEVER run away of each other.

Clothes have been chosen from different Spanish, Valencian brands and fashion creators, mainly looking for movement and volume, like the sea waves…
